CAREER CENTER
Mentors and staff in the Career Center assist in various areas related to employment:

Identifying skills and strengths of participants

Determining what type of work best suits a participant's personality, skill set and personal preferences

Assists with setting and meeting career goals

Demonstrates different job search techniques (online, networking, newspapers)

Practice testing for the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery test (ASVAB)

Provide workshops and one-on-one assistance

Create resumes that get results and assistance filling out job applications

Providing job listings

Interview preparation workshops and one-on-one assistance

Keep student files that include letters of recommendation as well as student transcripts

Sending documents to prospective employers or programs

Workshops on proper employee behavior and expectations of employers

Continued assistance and guidance after employment to ensure continued employment
